Sow me how you solved this problem...currently mines mounted to the rear bumper horizontally but the bumpers got to go...maybe...would improve departure angle.....

Mine goes from the passender rear fenderwell to the drivers side rollcage bar behind my seat.

I have a Yakima rack on my hardtop and I use a bracket I got from Slee Off road.

My 60" hi-lift fits perfectly on the floor in front of the rear seat, between the (closed) doors of my FJ55.

As soon as I can get it up to Luke's, I'll have him add a mount to the swing-arm (http://www.birfield.com/~morgan/tech/20020930_new_wheels/img_3172.jpg) he built me.
