: CJ-7 Front signal light options??

I feel like this post belongs in JU but why not...

Yea- I did a search....

My almost 20 yr old front signal lights on the grill are shot, one of them gets tweaked by the Ramsey winch in extreme twisting.

So I don't want to replace them with stockers- I'd like to use some type of universal rubber grommet flush mount type deal, give the winch some room, cheap and readily available. For the time being I threw some amber clearance lights in and wired them to the flash circuit only- technically I should have park and signal lights and i'd prefer to find something that fits the existing holes better.....

So- anyone have any suggestions???

I trailer most of the time so it's no big deal but I'm trying to stay as correct as possible for those times on the street.

I cut slightly larger holes in my grill and mounted flush rubber grommet trailer lights like you're talking about, I don't recall the Grote part numbers off the top of my head, but they work great, and they are available in a running light/brake light config with an amber lens so they can be used as turn signals and parking lights, I had the same problem with the first ones I got, they were just marker lights and would either work as parking lights OR blinkers, not both.

Not sure if you can see it in this pic but....

Check out the lights at www.buytruckstuff.com.

I just ordered flush mount light for the rear. They sell the amber, or clear with amber LEDs for the front. But you might have to make the holes a little bigger like 4bangler did.

Exactly what I was looking for- I don't know why the napa dudes did not have them in their book or stock- I'll go to the local truck supply place.

I'd still like to put a Commando grill on my Scrambler and stretch the hood to fit.

Why not use the Commando hood and run a short nose front? The commando front end was quite possibly the ugliest thing that ever came out of Toledo, no, I take that back, the CJ looking Commando wasn't as bad as the later rectangular egg crate grilled Commando, now that's just plain homely, with no redeeming qualities, not even any cool factor like the FC trucks or anything.

get on the highway and stop at one of the big ass truck stops .
they have a huge lighting section and a lot of it is LED so you dont have to worry about bulbs for a while and they are waterproof
