right now i am in the process of swapping out axles. Im running 44's from a j-10 and have a few questions about a lift. I was origanlly going to run 3" yj springs with shackle reversal in the front and revolvers. with z boxs and revolvers in the rear. If i ran waggy srpings up front sprung under what kind of lift would i be looking at and what could i do to the rear to clear the gas tank. HELP is very much needed...this is my first cj i have ever done...thanxz guys

I think that Waggy's the same as about 1.5 to 2" of lift?

Stock waggy springs are like 2" lift YJ springs. You might want to use the 44044s for ~ 4" of lift. I don't think you'll be happy with the revolvers at the front axle - they will allow the front driveshaft to separate and there are too many possibilities for steering issues. Search the site for revolver threads. Most people here have very strong opinions about them. I have them at the rear with spring over and a traction bar. Because this is your first jeep build-up, I'd recomend starting simple and using the jeep first before you decide to start adding gizmos. If I were you I think the 44044 w/ 1" bodylift and 35s would be a great starting point. Don't worry about the gas tank. You can see some pictures of my jeep at www.lavenderbrothers.com under 'red-cj7'
