I just bought a 52' M38A1...for a good price, rightfully so after I found this...

The rear Dana 44 differential is missing the pinion bearing...entirely gone.

I am presuming that there is a removeable bearing race that can be replaced in the housing (ifthe housing is not too damaged). Could someone please enlighten me, as this is my first experience with this axle.

Yep, you have to remove the carrier & pinion, and you'll see it in the snout of the housing.
