: MoROC Update !! Must read for midwest folks at least...
OK folks... We are moving along here toward success as expected.
Current News on MoROC:
*The leadership team currently has members who are well versed and trusted event coordinators with events under their belt such as Camp Jeep, Jeep Jamborees, and too many club events to mention.
*We have a total of 3 properties with big rocks where we can hold events now.
*We've officially adopted EROCC rules for the rockcrawling part of our events.
*We will hold 2003 MoROC events on dates that don't conflict with EROCC but may very likely confict with PROROCK - sorry prorock folks...
*Some of our events will be sanctioned by other regional and state organizations and will contribute to their point status .
*Near term goals will be to become a part of the midwest regions rockcrawling events.
*Exibition events will be sponsored.
*All funds raised will be NFP.
*Maximum Payouts will go to competitors.
*Sponsors will be agressively solicited.

Go2Guy 10-04-2002, 01:36 PM Quote- We've officially adopted EROCC rules for the rockcrawling part of our events.
So is one of your rock events going to be just rock or will it have mud, dirt, hillclimbs, woodscourses etc? I understand there will be dirt in the rock course but please clarify your intentions.
Thanks:D
JParuBob 10-04-2002, 01:56 PM What he means is that the cage requirements, etc will be the same as ERoCC... that way, if someone wants to come that normally competes in ERoCC, they don't have to completely change their vehicle to stay in their respective class... I proposed this idea after seeing how many problems people had with ProRock (Spaceghost for example)... If I'm not mistaken he had just redone his rear suspension, which in ProRock would've put him in the higher class... So, he had to put it back to close to factory to stay in his regular class... So, to avoid this problems from both sides (both ERoCC and UROC competitors), it seems easier to use the ERoCC set of rules, which basically encompass 3 or 4 other rockcrawling bodies...
That's all he means...
SpaceGhost 10-04-2002, 04:31 PM To clarify what was said, ProRock limits wheelbase mods in stock/mod to 2.5" max from stock. Errocc has no limits on wheelbase in Legends. I had modded my rig years ago, flipping the offset front and rear springs to gain near 4". That put me a couple inches over the original wheelbase so I had to flip the front set to stay in stock/mod. That along with the lame shackle reversal rock catchers made for an uncompetitive rig.
Not taking anything from those that we competed against, but there are better vehicles for this class than the 90" TLC to start from.
Depending on scheduling I am interested in competing with you guys, even more so with this announcement, basing the rules on Erocc.

Maybe Paragon should check with ERoCC. Like the new puppy on the block checking with the big dog to make sure it's OK piss on the fire hydrant :flipoff2:.
Sound like you are getting your sh*t together, keep us posted...
Whaley Enterprises 10-05-2002, 11:05 AM yeah your prolly right bigdude..im just trying to help everybody out...i just want to wheel and have nothing to do with running things
Do any of you guys really think we should trip on paragon and/or prorock dates??http://jeepthing.com/flipout.gif
Or should we just try to work with erocc for now?
It's gonna be hard to coord with every org.... but if everyone feels its necessary we'll try hard to do so.
Personally I'm only worried about coording with erocc considering our location. Am I off in this thinking?
There is no possible way to make everyone happy - there are only so many weekends in a year.... and our organizers and officials have lives too...
Lukin 4 input,

I would stick to working with EROCC then PAROGON , but as poorock is consernd they can :flipoff: , thats just my .02 , you find many will agree.
looked at the webpage and didn't see on so any ideas on a schedule?
bigdude 10-06-2002, 10:50 AM I think if you make sure to schedule with ERoCC in mind, then they will help you to avoid scheduling conflicts with other major series.
Paragon being another up start you'll probably just have to be in competition with each other. Everyone is having great ideas about starting series up, but unfortunately there are only so many competitors. That's good though because the organizers who have their stuff together will shine (kind of like ERoCC picking up so fast, they are extremely organized) and the other groups can have more of a local crowd.

So many organizations are popping up now, I think it's in an new organizations best interest to schdule around as many of the others as possible. At least any other org within say a 1000 mile radius. We will drive to a competition within 1000 miles without blinking an eye if we have the weekend open, and have the time available to do it.
