first of all my truck is a 92 z-71 4x4 k1500. im in honolulu and the 79 ford hp axle that everyone says to use is hard if not impossible to find here. so i was thinking of getting a k5 blazer and trying to change th tranny transcase so that it would be pass. drop and use the blazer axles. my first question is will the tranny bolt up to my motor, or maybe just change the transcase. wat bout crossmembers, steering, brakes, and the ten million other things that consist of a proper sas. after done the wheeling situation that i will be hitting is mostly sand mud slight hill climbs and mostly casual trails. some might say just go with the ifs but locally here sas chevys are kinda rare and i wouldnt mind being a head turner. any info would be great or if u guys can direct to particular threads that i can read that would also be great thanks guys

Trans will bolt up, everything else is custom.
You have a lot of decisions and research to do, and noone here is going to spoon feed you the info.

Coils/coilovers, links or leaves, Full hydro or high steer, etc.

It would be easier to find a kingpin 60 from a 86-92 F350. Drivers side drop, less work overall.

Your probably not going to find anything on the island without some work.

Cruise craigslist, I find stuff there all the time, look up Pyro http://www.pyroworksfab.com, he is over on the big island. And would ship an axle to you if you bought one from him.

Check the junkyards out in Campell Industrial park too. They salvage a lot of truck parts in Kapolei.
