Picked up a Suzuki x90 a cpl of months ago with a blown 16 valve. I was wondering how easy it is to install a 8 valve instead. I have a few trackers that run good but are rusty junks. I'm just gonna build it into a nice trail truck nothing crazy and I dont want to spend a bunch of $$$ on it. Thanks

if you don't want to spend a bunch of money on it then sell some good motors off the 'kicks and get a good 16valve from the boneyard.
the manifolds don't cross over, neither does the wiring harness or computer. so you're looking at a harness(either money or a pain in the ass), computer, exhaust system, and perhaps gauge problems.
also motor mounts, starter issues, clutch, etc...
it's much easier to stay with a 16valve, also the 16v gets more power and better mileage I'm sure.

I was thinking more like swapping everything. Motor, harness, trans ect. The x90 is a 2wd 5speed the trackers I have are 4wd 1 with a auto and 1 with 5speed. Not worried about exhaust. . More like the gauges and mounts.
I might be wrong but my luck has been with 8's. I have 4 16v with holes in the block...All my 8's are perfect.
I know most people go 8-16. Just curious if anyone has done the opposite. Thanks for the reply.
