Are there any pics of steering box installations around?
I am trying to determine the best way to get a newer stearing box into my 60 cj, without it becoming bootyfab. Putting a saginaw unit in looks to be alot of work because of all the stuff that is in the way. The bumper and winch mount right on top of the frame rails so if they stay where they are, the box is going to hang way down. I have a 289 with stock exhaust manifolds, (the drives side runs forward) newer manifolds hit the engine mounts
There were several jeeps on the rubicon over labor day running what they said were scout steering boxes. I didnt get pics or names, does anyone know who they may have been? The setup looked like a good fit for me. Has anyone else seen this setup or know someone that is running it?
The box was mounted to the frame in the engine compartment just above the axle. They had notched the inner fender to allow room. If memory serves me, the pitman arm pointed forward. I believe they were all running high stear setups as well.
Any help would be appreciated
