Scratch and anyone else who has done this I have a few questions for you.

1. I did a search and it looks like this is not that hard to do. In your thread Scratch you talked about removing a spacer, was this because you went from a manual trans to auto?

2. I am getting a 1999 AW4 out of a wreaked XJ, what should I look for? I am getting the transmission with all wiring, the computer and torque converter. Anything else I need to get with the transmission?

3. I plan on putting a Atlas II in behind the AW4, but it will take a couple of months to get it over here (Italy). Can I make the TJ transfer case fit without making it NOT work with the Atlass II?

4. How did mount the the transmission/transfer case? Use the stock skid palte/cross memeber? Make a custom unit? Can I use the stock mount?

5. Any pearls of wisdom?

Ciao,

The XJ has 19 spline out if the Tranny and the 231 I think is 23 spline in a TJ. and the depth of the input spline is different from the XJ T case and the TJ's
