I often tell people the first rock crawling event was sponsred by Warn (AA had a minor $ input as well). I think it was in Farmington. I think Bob Hazel ran the event. The winner got a rock with the number 1 painted on it. I'm not interested in purchasing it, but I think for history sake, we should document it. You never know...a rockcrawling hall of fame may happen
I can't remember
Who won and where is this rock

as a side note

What is "Moose" doing today

I think Troy Myers (BADLANDS OFFROAD) won that in a Scorpion Buggy .. Also think it might have been Las Cruses N.M ..

I think Troy won the first Warn event Bob put on in Johnson Valley. I still have the video. I thought the first event in Farmington was the ARCA event in the fall of 99.

And again "Silent Bob" for the man with the Rock sports History and trivia.
You are a walking very little talking man of knowledge. Damn we could all learn to listen more and talk less I guess? No doubt Bob has to be correct.:smokin: If I remember "the rookie" was responsable for a winch point penelty being added to the rules, because he played it smart.

I am quite sure the Warn Rock Crawling Championship was in Johnson Valley 99. I was there. I do not know where the first event was. It was a hell of a show. I do know they gave out rocks at that event as well, my buddy Jason Tharpe has one. I can not wait to go back out there, I leave for KOH in 2 weeks!!!
