I searched and could not find what I need so here we go...

I want a hydraulic clutch in my Scrambler and I have a friend parting out a TJ, so I am wondering if the pedal assembly from it will work in my 8. I will also be looking to be using the power brake booster from the TJ so I need to know if that is compatible with bigger master cylinders because I will have disc brakes on the front and rear D44s. For the clutch I will try to use the complete setup including slave and fluid cylinders. I will be swapping in a NP435 behing the stock 258.

Any ideas would be helpful as I am going to see the stuff tomorrow.

Thanks. I appreciate all knowledgable input.

Heres a awesome write up on converting the CJ manual pedal to hydro.

http://www.monsterslayer.com/jeep/HydClutch/HydroClutch.htm

I did it on my junk and it works flawless. I am also using a NP435 tranny.. I did it with all stock jeep parts that I got from Jack at No Excuses.

I dont know much about the brake booster but it could work.. I am doing brakes this weekend and Im using a Pontiac Firebird with 4wheel Discs MC.

Good Luck Fellow NJer.

Thanks, Rob. That is a good post and has alot of info. BTW, Jack is a good guy-we are in the same club, IITP.

What I was wondering is if the TJ assembly would bolt into the CJ easily or are the firewalls different to the point of it being a pain in the buttocks. If it was a YJ assembly that I was looking at I wouldn't have a doubt, but I know some of the TJ stuf is not swappable.

Thanks for the reply. Anyone else?
