I have a C-4 in there now that is pretty much done or needs to be rebuilt. Is there another trans i should go with? I use this rig as a driver

If it is just a driver, and you don't want/need overdrive, rebuild it and run it. There is nothing wrong with a C4 (esp. in moderate use), and almost any tranny builder can make them better than new for pretty cheap.
