we are bringin a few dirt bikes and quads out to the KOH with us from colorado, if we have our co ohv stickers, do we need to buy cali stickers to?

Yes. I suggest you do that. My buddy from Moab got tickets over new years on his quads in the truckhaven area.

any ideal on what the ohv sticker costs?

These two sites say that if your OHV has stickers from your home state, you should be good to go. If your home state does not require stickers, then you can get stickers at most bike shops.

Scott@Rockstomper posted up in one of the other KOH threads that he got a ticket for having a highway combination that wasn't legal for CA, and just took the ticket home to CO. He had a local LEO sign the CA ticket that he was legal for his license class in CO and sent it back to CA. Said it cost him a $10 filing fee. Similar logic could apply to OHV's

I have a MT license plate (on my ORV) and am not planning on buying a CA OHV sticker this year.

My understanding of the green sticker law is, if your vehicle has an off road sticker from your home state, you are legal in Calif. You won't need a green sticker from Cal.
