Went and ran the Devils Peak trail in Jean, NV, just outside Las Vegas. It was a 3.5 out of 5 rating and had three really challenging obstacles. Went exploring in some abandoned mines (only went in about 50 ft so there wasn't much to explore) On to the Pictures:

Thats a fun trail! We've went up a couple times and taken the quads up it once. Those first 2 waterfalls are fun.

If you run up the first side road closest to the 15 off the main road that go's up to the start of the trail, there are some cool mines up that way that go pretty far back. We found a couple old tins in one. There's also the remains of some old 20's car like a Model T. It's got all wood frame and sheet metal outer.

You take the Jean exit heading towards CA go under the underpass to the Gold Strike Casino area, hang a left the second stop sign I think it is, follow the frontage road around till it ends and turns to dirt, go under the under pass to the other side an it'll take you directly to the trail that leads out to it. The long trail turns into the main trail. I would suggest you meet up with someone who's run the trail, I can't go wheelin for another month or two but when I can, I'd take ya out there. Here's a link to a local club that meets up pretty often and I met up with some guys on there and have been wheeling with them a couple times: vv4w.org

I am trying to get a bunch of people to do this run maybe as soon as this weekend. What kind of rig would you be taking on this run? I have not done this trail but will be with a handful of people that have. I am pretty sure this is NOT a stock friendly trail and even mildly modified vehicles may endure some carnage. Again I have not personally ran this one yet, so we'll see. I will make another post to firm up plans for the run.

I will be in my 98 TJ, 2" lift, leaf sprung rear, stretched 6", 8.8 rear lsd, dana 30 front, 35 boggers, winch, and a bunch of dents. And my dad will be bringing his 99 tj, 2" lift, 33's, winch, ect. Both of us have ran most of the trails around Vegas, and some in logendale, so we wont slow you down. I have heard its not real bad b that was a couple years ago. Maybe it has washed out since then. We will be going on Sunday, since its going to rain Sat, and I gotta work. PM me your phone number, and we can organize something!

I was working on the heap from 9am till midnight, so i didnt get your pm's till now. its cool, no problem. Im still gonna do the run though, all are welcome.
