what the hell are all those gauges for? just curios

I can think of three/four off hand for a Cummins, fuel pressure (post lift pump), EGT, pre and post turbo, and boost. Some folks use a toggle switch for the pre/post turbo temps, but you can have two thermocouples.

i may have to call the owner and ask but
i think it's like this;

1 fuel guage
2 amp guage
3 water temp guage
4 boost guage
5 exhaust temp guage
6 oil guage
7 is the clock

to 2 holes on the left are for the steering
column and the odometer

switches on the left are for the arb's and headlites

Looks sweet.
How did you cut the wholes so perfect?
I made my dash out of SS and it took forever, it was also pretty thick ss. After looking at it being nice and shiny I sandblasted it so it has that bushed/soft look because I it seemed to shiny and didn't want any chance of reflections to blind me when I was driving or shine in my eyes so I couldn't read the gauges. Don't know if that is even possible, but I also figured the brushed look would hide eventual scratches.

Probably a hole saw or step drill.
Rectangular holes look like mill work.
Very nice dash, Fabricator.

fabricator

they are 115.00$ + shipping
per your drawing

glove box hole or cd stuff would be ok

that's .060 thousands thick 304 stainless

EDIT;
if you want speaker (slits) you mite want to grab your wallet.
they take some time so they would be xtra.

just a curiosty question, but why are speaker holes more? would you do them differently?

proably not a hole, must be slits to put a speaker behind.

I didn't see it covered yet, but what kind of Jeep was that installed in? I'm assuming it was a YJ, but I'm not 100% sure...

If for a YJ, I may be interested in one also....

I know this is not a technical thing, but a dash replacement is pretty high on my list.
I was planning on painting my dash. I assume you could do the same work to mild steal and give it a quick coat of primer. Would that change the cost at all?
I had something much more elaborate in mind, but at that cost, maybe I’ll let someone else make it easy for me. :D

I think it was for a YJ,
it was a mid 90's jeep, will check.
the dash pad goes around the edge of it on this one.
can make them out of mild steel and for other years also.

and as custom as you want with price ajustments.

fabricator

checked the year;
It is a YJ the year is a 93.

damn...i was wondering when someone else was gonna pick up this design. i started this same design at the beginning of the summer, but havent had much time to work on it. i cut all the holes by hand as well as bent it. very similar design though. i will have to post pics when i finish it in a couple months...i figured someone would beat me to it. oh well, looks nice man!

Hole saws are fun... :)

The discs they chop out can get pretty damn sharp though... sliced my thumb picking oe of them up.
