: adapter plate dimension drawings
geckocycles 01-28-2010, 04:22 PM I was doing a cad drawing of the 1.6 adapter plate and ran short of the "Y" dimensions of the holes in red.
Anyone got this with the origin being the center of the center cutout radius?
Also what thickness is the plate?
I measured the best I could but want it to be right.
I am also looking for dxf/dwg or dimensioned image files of the 1.3 spacer between the tranny and engine. I want to build some engine test stands.

DemoMike 01-28-2010, 04:51 PM 5/16" thk (8mm is right there).
geckocycles 01-28-2010, 04:55 PM 5/16" thk (8mm is right there).
Not a diameter.
I need the "Y" dimension of the hole centers or center of part to hole centers of the 4 holes in red.
WOODZUK 01-28-2010, 05:57 PM not sure if u have one but i have the adaptor plate from trail tough and i'm not using it 50$ plus ship and its yours:)
geckocycles 01-28-2010, 06:11 PM not sure if u have one but i have the adaptor plate from trail tough and i'm not using it 50$ plus ship and its yours:)I do not. I need some wings on it so I can incorporate it to a engine test stand. Thanks anyway.
If you could would you measure from the outside of the lower holes to the OD of the holes in question?

WOODZUK 01-28-2010, 06:55 PM i can do that,do you need them done with a micrometer or will a tape measure do?
geckocycles 01-28-2010, 06:58 PM i can do that,do you need them done with a micrometer or will a tape measure do?Calipers would be great if you have them. The more accurate the better.
WOODZUK 01-28-2010, 07:14 PM ok gimme a day or 2
geckocycles 01-28-2010, 07:16 PM Kkkkkkk
DemoMike 01-29-2010, 11:02 AM Not a diameter.

"thk" = thickness
Also what thickness is the plate?

geckocycles 01-30-2010, 01:53 AM I don't remember where I found this
I found it on http://www.suzuki88.webcindario.com/

PDF file then I did the cad drawing from that but the hole in question have no "Y" dimensions that I can find or interpolate nor hole dia. Having fun anyway.
I think I will make a posterboard template first just to check. Off to Kinkos and use their plotter after I get confirmation on those bolt holes. I may just buy a used plate and weld the needed tabs on it but would rather just have the part CNC cut here for it would cost me about $25-$35 depending on how big the tabs I need are.
Here is one without my tabs on it. Having troubles getting a counter sink at a angle. All I can do is make a perpendicular hole instead of a angled one. According to the suzuki88 file I have the countersink on the wrong side in this 3d drawing but looking a a photo of the plate I am not sure which is right. I probably don't need it myself for what I am doing.

DemoMike 01-30-2010, 10:30 AM I measured 1.315" from the flywheel axis to the line thru the centers of the two countersunk holes...
geckocycles 01-30-2010, 07:19 PM I measured 1.315" from the flywheel axis to the line thru the centers of the two countersunk holes...
This didn't work.
The holes on the right and left are different distances from the centerline horizontal axis of the flywheel.
I measured the 1.6 spacer I have from the top hole to the bottom holes on each side and drew it up and there is a difference on the 1.6 plate.
I now need the 1.3 lower hole location in relation to the upper holes. I don't have a 1.3 plate to measure.
I measured with my 24" calipers from inside to inside of the upper and lower holes and then added half of the diameter of both holes to that.

WOODZUK 02-06-2010, 06:52 PM sorry its been so long, if u havent got those measurements ur after i will get them tomorrow. been sick all week and havent felt like goin out in the cold to get them :shaking:
geckocycles 02-07-2010, 05:14 AM THX.
Bill, Hideous4x4 came by on Fri. to pick up a front end and my housing alignment gage and dropped off a 1.3 plate for me to measure.
WOODZUK 02-08-2010, 08:21 PM cool i got mine tonight for measuring. the plate is still bolted to the trans and i broke a snap on allen head bit tryin to get it off, so i had to measure to center of bolt as best i could. good thing theres a warranty on those bits:D
geckocycles 02-09-2010, 05:40 AM THX but I have it covered now.
