my buddy has a 77 f250 and he wants to dithch the dana 44 and 19 spline dana 60 rear and go to dana 60 front and sterling 10 1/2 in the rear.
Will we run into any problems puttin one from a truck thet originally had abs in it cause he wants disk brakes.
We know we need new drivshafts and that stuff but they both should bolt up right.
Can we do crossover steering with it without causing a huge amount of fabwork.
We plan to put high steer arms on it and more lift with 42 inch tsls the steering box is on they outside of the framerails and turn thye driverside tire with that gay drag link do i just need to put a new pitman arm and drag link and tie rod on it
will it all work? By the way who makes a ram assist steering for that truck with a better pump and box.

Um, I didn't understand all your questions but to answer the one above: first, you're probably gonna want a 10.25 rear 'cause it'll be 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern. The newer 10.5's are metric, albeit disc brakes from the factory. The 10.25 can be found in just about any '86-97 F250 or 350; these trucks never rec'd 4WABS, only RABS, and NO, it won't cause you any troubles with your swap.
You can outift the 10.25 w/discs, try to track down YJTJ on this board as I can no longer find his posts using the SEARCH function.
I don't know if '99+ SuperDuty's rec'd 4WABS????????
Are you planning on running front leafs or coils? If you wanna retain the Sag steering box on the outside of the framerail and run leafs you're gonna have some interference w/out massive lift. I'd look for another steering box (the Sag box is problematic at best anyway w/that long sector shaft), or go full hydraulic. Talk to Ultim8Kaos as he's dealt w/this personally.
As far as the front goes, hunt down a '78-'79 D-60 and the powersteering box off of same. this is the simplest and best way to go.

 if it is early '77 then it will be the manual box or have the Ram power assist. If late '77 then it will have the power steering box mounted inboard of the frame rail and it will not be a long sector shaft.
Either way it will not be mounted outboard of the frame.
Are you thinking of the 4x2 box???
