OK, Ive searched this and haven't found much info on this, its usually sb350s, but I'm sticking with my fresh 258. I picked up a very nice, clean, apparently ready to use SM465 today from Jaffer, he needed it out for the space so I obliged.:D I've researched the Novak and AA stuff, I'm fully aware I'll need the t-case to trans adapter, and I can easily machine a T5 bellhousing to fit the 465 according to Novak. Looks like I won't need new driveshafts, too. Looks like clutch disc is the same? Are there any issues I'm gonna run into that I'm not anticipating, clearance or anything else, I have a 1" body lift, don't want to go bigger there. This looks like a pretty straightforward swap, but I figure I may as well take advantage of any been there/done thats.;) BTW, the 465 is the 2wd version, but I don't think that makes any difference.

I am pretty sure the adapter companies (AA and Novak) reccomend the 2wd version. I have two buddies that ran the AA one to a D300, and they just cut the output shafts with an angle grinder. Not sure why anymore why the 2wd version is prefferred. Been about 4 years since we did it...
What are you doing for a clutch mechanism??

Since I'm using a T5 bellhousing I'm figuring the stock mechanism will work just fine. Novak has a writeup on machining the T5 bellhousing to accept the 465.

Novak has 2 adaptors, one for early 4wd and the other for everything else (the latter replaces the mainshaft)
