That is what I am planning on for the rear of the traveler, gonna use trailer fenders for the inners....but, then again, I really don't care what it looks like
Scoutillac 10-26-2001, 03:30 PM I just don't understand the big truck thing please explain

Do it. That's the best part of my body mods I've made, IMO.

They are Bushwhacker Chevy rear flares (on all four corners). No mods to the flares themselves

Bigger works better for the type of aggressive wheeling I like to do. With my 35" tires and Dana 44's, I couldn't do little sluice this summer unless I had built a ramp of rocks to make it. Since I like beating my rig through the toughest spots on any trail, big is a must for me.

Ask Josh C, he went to town on his SII, looks OK, the biggest problem is the rear tail gate in SII is so much different.
Joe
I will take some credit for what that scout loks like Curtis.

Scoutaholic 10-28-2001, 07:25 PM I was thinking of doing my 800 rear quarters like that. Did you have to support the body or is it just straight cut outs?

I ran 2x1 tubing from the skid rail (rocker) all the way back. The only bad problem is the body now wants to open up making it hard to close the tailgate without lifting one side of the body. I figure a steel strap from the roll cage at the back to the body will hold it in place.
