I used to have a Besttop plastic box in the back on my YJ but with me moving the fuel cell and Powertank to the "bed" of my jeep i am running out of room to store my spare parts and tools. What are you guys running the storage?

Stick it in your a$$. We are not here to figure out all of the problems associated with your build. Look at some builds, and see what others are doing. You can't just press the easy button on pirate. If you have a lot of questions like this, do a build thread and ask within it. Or ask in non hardcore, cuz that's what this is.

Maybe he just wanted to see what you "All great a powerfull hardcore fabbers" were building on your "hardcore" rigs for storage.

And that's why I suggested that h should look at some hardcore build threads. :rolleyes:

1 small box i built.. and two ammo cans.. i keep that carry on shit to a minimum... that's what hardcore does.. :flipoff2:

Small ammo cans for tools, most spares are mounted to the tub and body, or underhood, and action packer for extar spares and camping gear.

Since you stretched your WB you will have a lot of extra space on the rear between your rear airshocks. You can cut and sunk larger ammo cans that will be accessible form the top, by the fender area ;) I am planning to do this to the TJ, had a similar dillema to yours on the YJ (tank moved up)

Back in the day, I bought a industrial welders box, drilled two holes in the bottom, bolted it down using the stock OEM mount points for the rear bench seat. i have a lockable closing lid using a basic pad lock. Then I mounted/ bolted my hi-lift to the lid of the box. works great for me. It does the job when im at crazy angles or on my side. Don't have to worry at all about projectiles going for my head. I have a large storage space as well. Inside the large box, I have 3 ammo cans filled with tools and stuff as well. YOUR Fuel cell is mounted in the location of MY storage box. So now your stuck with doing something at the far aft of the tub.

You'll think of something. Next time, just bump your build thread with questions of this level. You won't get flamed. It adds to the process for others to see.

i have all that stuff, however it iwll not work for me anymore, i have the airshocks going through the inner fenders.

Im using 2 ammo cans currently, but I have one of the baskets like posted above (not from PolyPerformance). Im going to make it removable and mount it over the rear seat area, to mount a cooler, and a toolbox or whatever else I need on there.

Im running my fuel tank inside, instead of underneath currently, and have my rear seat in there.

I am running a plastic box mounted with the four back seat bolts. 15 gallon fuel cell.

Made my own cell.I can store 39 Gallons of fuel and put what ever I want in top of the cell.

Im going to run Ammo cans too ina YJ...Bolted down on the rear wheel wells, and converted to lock shut w/padlocks with hardware from lowes...Tuffy security console between the seats..Stub shafts/ubolt straps, and ujoints under the hood...And more junk locked/secured in the tow rig...
