Posted this in the Jeep forum, but I figure I'd give it a shot here since maybe this can occur in other vehicles.

For awhile now I've had this bouncing feeling when I tap the gas. I'm trying to pull out all the stops and solve this issue. The slip yoke on my front shaft was a little busted up and the video has the drive shaft removed. I've tightened up the bellhousing bolts and snugged down all motor and transmission mounts. U-Bolts are tight too. The biggest issue I have is axle wrap. I'm currently running 2.5" SkyJacker springs and 32" tires. Nothing to hefty. But, my springs turn in neat little "S"'s when under load (hence my other thread on leaf spring feedback). Would my trashed leaf springs be the cause of this annoying slop in the drivetrain? Or could it be something in the transmission?

I have a few videos also posted in regards to solving this. So far they all have been solved minus a noise coming from the bellhousing:

Iunno, does any of this sound normal or do I have something terribly wrong? Thanks.

For starters, it sounds like you need an anti-wrap bar installed. That will keep your springs from turning into spaghetti noodles under acceleration.

Also check your motor and transmission mounts. I know you said you tightened them up, but the stock rubber mounts deteriorate over time and could be contributing to any slop you feel.

Yea, I plan on an 8.8 in the ner future and that will be one of the brackets I get welded on it. First is going to be new springs. The motor mounts and transmission mounts were replaced ~2 years ago with Daystar mounts.
