Rebuilding my ball joints, hubs, etc. When I pulled my spindle and cleaned it up, it has a couple black marks, but no rust. Do I need to replace, or can I run it? Ive heard of emery cloth to polish it up.

Is it just discolored or is there some scoring?

oxymoron?

if you can feel scoring then i would say no. Pics are pretty low quality or out of focus.

Its pretty smooth when I run my finger over it, but I agree I probably should replace. I just dont want to spend the money.

Its a jeep.... you will always spend money......... its just a pit!!! And really if it is tore up and you just toss together, you will be out spindles, bearings, hell maybe even hubs later. A couple C notes could save you 1k later

If its not noticeably worn or rough pollish it up and put it back in service. Just make sure everything is lubed up when you put it back together.

Tera is sending me new spindles and bearings free of charge. Given the low miles on my front axle, and the fact that when I first disassembled the hub, the lock nuts and washer were not on very tight at all (although there didnt appear to be any play when I routinely grabbed the tire for a shake), and the tabs on the washer werent bent down. Gotta put out the good word for Tera standing behind their product. Doug over there is very helpful.
