I'm going to guess that it might compete with ori's or possibly be a bypass air shock either one would be cool. I will definately be willing to do some testing::grinpimp::

I was hoping to see this shock today when I walked through the trailer but all I saw was a wall of the shocks you already offer.
Did I miss it or will it be revealed sometime before the end of KOH?

Is this going to help with the inevidable fading that happens in an air shock?
Also is it going to be in 2" and 2.5" I just dont see that much of an advantage to why you just wouldn't go to a coilover.

PhillipM

Might do in some things, I was after a 2.0 airshock to fit in a tight mounting that you couldn't get a coil on, but I was worried about the heat level and ended up making a fancy linkage, these might have been the ideal solution.

Ballistic Air Shock with Reservoir *NEW!*

The Ballistic Air Shock with Reservoir is designed to support the weight of your vehicle as well as provide the dampening of a conventional shock. This is ideal for light to medium weight vehicles, and provides a non-linear shock rate to help avoid bottoming out. The reservoir allows better cooling efficiency than normal air shocks resulting in better on-road performance and improved reduction in shock and spring fade. The Ballistic Air Shock is constructed from the highest quality materials available and is manufactured on state of the art machining centers to exacting tolerances.

* 2.5" Reservoir provides better cooling efficiency reducing the effects of shock and spring fade and body roll
* Features a LARGER 2.125" Body with 1.375" shaft to handle heavier loads
*Aerospace grade "nitro coat" heavy duty shaft to extend seal life and performance
* Lightweight aluminum body construction
* High quality spherical rod ends with 303 stainless steel spacers
* No need for springs or extra shocks

Check them out here! (http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/NEW-Ballistic-Air-Shock-with-Reservoir_p_1723.html#)

We had to beef up the reservoir and eliminate the current style of hose to withstand the high pressures generated at the end of the reservoir.

During testing we have also noticed that the vehicle tends to self level out alot better than with standard air shocks after a hard turn.

The shocks will be available in ALL standard sizes including 2.125" and 2.5" bodies.

and an estimated time?

are these air shocks with a reservoir also bypass shocks? or just airshocks with a res?

maybe you could chime in on the air bypass thread in the general section right now.

I believe it is just a air shock with a reservoir. Maybe a bypass air shock in the future  I linked this thread in the bypass airshock thread in general

Sweet.

You guys got weight ratings figured out yet?

DrVic723
02-26-2010, 08:03 PM
We're going with the same as the standard air shocks, 1,000 lbs for 2.125" and 1,400lbs for the 2.5" max psi 450.

Jeff
