I was hauling motors in the back of my suburban for my K5 and my DD vehicle and happened to slide and bust out the back window on my suburban. I have a K5 blazer that i am going to build here soon and not using any of the body. Am i going to be able to take the tailgate window out of the K5 and put in the suburban?

They look very similar and i didn’t have enough time with day light to take measurements. Was just hoping to get some help. If every one feels the need to flame i will delete. :flipoff2:

Put the K5 tailgate on the Suburban and roll up the window and try it. Or go to a Chevy dealer and see if both windows use the same part #.

Call a glass shop, they will tell you for sure. The dealership may have different part numbers for the same piece of glass because it is in a different vehicle. Silly but true.

FWIW, LMC lists them as separate part numbers.

yep. they have a different shape. ive owned both vehicles and went to save the suburban glass and put it next to the k5s and they are different. for future reference too the back side glass looks the same but is also different. other then that all the glass is the same

how about this......
will a truck tailgate work on a K5.....? (1979)
if so I would use the truck tailgate to wheel so I dont bust out any glass...
