Depends on how much trimming your willing to do and how much rubbing you can tolerate. What tires are you running /w the 4"..38s?

If anyone else remembers, Mike Ladd of Bent and Twisted bolted on 44's to his stock high-boy with add a leafs. I don't think he ever drove it but they did fit!!

add-aleafs on a "hiboy" woudl be the same height as his 4 inch lift, since they are about 2 inches higher than the f-150's and the 77.5-79 trucks, with those cutouts you might could run them, i ran 39's no prob with 7 inches of lift, and a tiny bit of fender trimming for the front....nowhere near as much room as the cutout flares give ya

Mike Childers (sp?) from the 1999 TTC had an F150 with 44's and 4 inches of lift. Major fender triming though, but totally badass.

4" and fender hacking will work. Now, by hacking, i mean unholey use of the sawzall. But you get the point. Simplest way to tell how mutch lift you will need:
Get some string. Cut it to 22". Affix one side to the center of your hub. Pull the string up tward the fender. Now you have the exact measurment of a 44" tire mounted on your existing rim, with the current amount of lift. This does not account for tire width, but it will give you a round about way to tell how much lift you will need, and how much fender hacking you need to do.

Does this mean you like the cutout's, I'm guessing the Bushwacker cutout's? I'm asking because my bronco came with some new in a box, I just have to put them on. However, I have heard that they just get ripped off on the trails and are more hassle than they are worth, is that so? I'm looking to clear roughly 40's and have 8" of lift with no trimming as is, but don't mind trimming some. Are cutout's worth the hassle and do they get ripped off easily?

i thought u meant they were already on there.....since they arent i wouldnt bother with them unless you just want them on there for looks or whatever reason. Jus throw some 40's on there nowif you have 8 inches of lift, they will clear fine with a little trimming on the bottom parts of the front fenders
