Leavin' for Glamis Thursday and have no idea where to camp... Anyone got suggestions? Looking for free/cheap as possible since the toy hauler is self contained. If I need power I can run the generator.

Thanks in advance.

You have to buy a pass to camp at the ranger station..If your in the dunes make or away from your camp make sure you have a fag on your bike, buggy or rig they will nail you...I like to camp off gecko less dust..The washes are more hard packed so odd of getting stuck are less and the store and vendors are right there..Post some pics when you get back..Be safe good luck:D

you have to buy a pass. Buy it on your way through Brawley and it will be $25. If you buy it in Glamis, it will be $40. New fees. You can camp on Gecko like PERFORMANCE said or a few miles east at Glamis Flats where Vondor row and Glamis Beach Store are. Oldsmobile is also close to the flats. I don't know what you would have to have a fag on your ride for but you do have to have a flag:flipoff2:......8 feet off of the ground.

Sounds like the flats/washes is where it's at... Are there any places other than Brawley to get the off-site $25 passes? I am coming from the east (Kansas City)..

And we'll be sure to have whips in tote. Not new to the dunes, just new to Glamis. We usually ride Little Sahara in Oklahoma and last summer went to St. Antohony, Idaho.

THANKS!!!

I believe you can just look up ISDRA and they will have a link to where you can get the Passes. You will be coming south from Blythe then and there has to be somewhere along the way to get them.

I dont think theres any place to get off site passes coming from the east but im not possitive. coming from the east just pass the train tracks make a left before the beach store to get to the washes, and the flats are farther west pass the beach store and venders row make a left on the first road you see and your there. have fun and be safe out there
