ive got a blazer and know a bunch about my truck but my buddy has an 08 taco with the elocker unk if its trd or not, simply can't remember if it had the sticker, shurg. Anyways he wants to go more do more in his truck which shamefully has kept up with my beloved blazer everywhere we go and sometimes goes there better. i attribute this to no lockers on my part and magic on his:flipoff2:.. I have suggested that he gets, in order, lift 3" for 32's, 6" for larger than 32's.. M/T or A/T he does live in the city but likes to push it with the adventures boggers are out as are swampers as over kill... bumpers front then back for perhaps better approach departure angles and a winch. My question to you fine yota folks is the reccomendation of the 3 vs 6, settling for 32 or have you ended up going bigger anyways, bumpers do they make a difference for the tacoma, winch my suggest is 8k, your thoughts?....finally is there some shit i'm missing with the upgrade list? hardware computer upgrade weak point frame flaw etc that really needs to get looked at if he wants his truck to last in the long run? thanks yall ill be helping with the little one but ill check back later again its an 08 taco nothing done right now does have the elocker unk trd or not, birfs are on my mind. he does mostly trails and dirt road, not so much crawling is his daily driver. thanks again pbb. side note the 3" kits all look like we can do in my garage the 6 in kits?? whats the involvement do we need a torch or can you do it with cutting wheels and sawzall?
thanks mark

this will get you started. 36's under 3" of lift. stay away from the drop bracket lifts.

thanks to yall for pointing in the right direction. 3 inch is the best bang for the buck, the one above is the only 3 inch with 36's ive seen i suspect a bit of the ol hammer and sawzall came into play. 32's will fit well and 33's with a bit of massaging. rev tech and toytec seem to be the quality players. any + or -to either company?
