The passenger-side exhaust manifold on my 5.4L is leaking (2000 F150). I've held that the studs break and cause the leak.

Is it a pain to pull the manifold (looks like I have to go in from under the fender well? Should I expect to replace the manifold or have the exhaust ports straightened?

Also, where can I find some exhaust studs that don't break..?

pass side is the easy one, pull inner fender for sure, hope you have "extraction" skill set and tools, man. can be sanded but could be wasted (embrittled).. good times...

Well, that is a plus. I don't have mad skills or tools, but I have a welder and mapp gas.

A new manifold is $70, I'll probably just replace it during the process, in case I have to cut the old one off (don't laugh, had to cut the front passenger rotor off when I changed brakes the last time).
