Well Sunday morning i woke up to a not so pretty sight. My business sign had been stolen.
First time they pulled it up and out of the ground and threw it over a fence accross the street. So i cemented the bugger in the ground. Whuile i was home Sat night they slid a large wire spool (empty) over stod on it and removed the 8 screws that were on it. I have not found the sign. I had about 20 hours into making it. It had the IH symbol on one side and the Back Country Binders part on the other.

Then i saw my door was open on the Travellette and guess what they jacked the CD player from the dash. Didnt get the speakers as i keep them in the boxes inside when its not being used.

Makes ya wish it was legal to boobytrap stuff or just plain outright kill some people  .
I mean i would stake the truck out after installing a new stereo and beat the bejesus out of them till they were close to death, then do what they do in India....Cut their freaking hand clean off. I dont believe they would steal again.

Oh well off my raging soapbox. Now great as if I don't already have enough to do, I got to make another business sign and secure it better. Sheesh of all the things to steal  . Cops have a partial footprint , no finger prints, and no leads. I hope they find my sign.

tough luck man, if i were you i would wire your next sign to some sort of electric fence setup to give the hudlums a "SHOCK", when they see you have a new sign they will probably be back so be ready

Be sure to hot glue some razor blades to the back of your new stereo and install the back strap. When you build the new sign, "weld-not-bolt" should be running through your head. I'm sure you'd wake up if they were out there grinding down welds to take you new sign, and if you see blood on the carpet of your truck you'll know that your stereo at least put up a fight.

Like the razor blade idea. Guess what, i was thinking the same on the sign. Bolt it through the 4x4s and then weld the nuts to the bolt so they cant remove it. I will be watching with cameras i think too. Fuckers gonna pay if i catch them.

Be careful with the razor blades. You can get in trouble if a thief gets in there and cuts himself. I know I know.......what a backwards world we live in eh?

On the sign you should get a webcam and point it at it and leave your computer on all night. Or another silly thing to do on the sign is to but grease on the bottom side of it so it will get onto anything that they touch after getting it all over their clothes and hands...hehe

Later and good luck.
