My Scout finally came out of the garage under its own power!!

It entered the garage in February when we moved to Redmond.

Anyway after I get the fuel pump to stop pissing on the garage floor, and take care of some other smaller items, I am going to try to get some driving time in it..

Working on getting this thing together for the OCTOBER 26th run...

What else did everyone get done?

Progress?

Crap, I went wheeling on Sat night..ran a whole new crack line that we looked at last time we were out there...Got some serious side action trying to climb out but my scout seems totally stable on side hills...made it out without a problem..or a pic:flipoff2:

Just getting ready to watch the carnage on the clean up run:D

Didn't take any pics of the lion's share of what I did..

Had our M4x4A Quarterly meeting on Saturday.. got a neat plaque while I was there - I received the M4x4A FourWheeler of the Year award back in April.. which put me in the running for United FourWheeler of the Year.. didn't make it, but I got the plaque which says I was in the top 5 candidates - taken from all the nominees from all 31 member Associations of United.. representing just about every continent.

Pretty darn cool.

Sunday I got to play with tools. Buddy came by and lent me a hand and we went to town tearing apart my parts 200.

Anyone need a manual column or pedal assemblies from a '74/75 4x4? I don't need it.. stripped the front clip, pulled the front and rear glass and doors, removed the seat, removed the gas tank.. just need to yank the column, a few gauges mebbe, and the tunnel cover, then the Sawzall comes out and the cab gets scrapped.. leaving me with the running gear and NP205 that I bought it for. :D

Hung gutters on the shop, too.. might not slip and fall on my @$$ this winter (as often).

Went back out to the shop around 11pm after dinner n' such and between 11 n' 2 got 1/3 of the way into the 304C on the stand.

Interstingly, after I pulled the intake, look what I found...

I guess I've been in some deep mud.. :D

Old style 9-stand rockers, LS6 springs.

Got one head pulled - the one with the definitely shot rod bearing (#7)..

#7 looks a little different than the other chambers, though everything seems to look fine enough.

Gotta pull and mark the lifters, yank the other head, and then pull the crank and mic the rods and see if anything other than #7 needs resized.. probably will. :D

Might have to install a block drain while I have it out.. tired of it pissing on the floor...
