how to set caster angle

how do i measure the caster angle? a friend will be rotationg his knuckles, so how ddo i measure? and what angle should is et em at? ive heard that scouts have no caster angle, but why not?also, i believe the angle is towards the rear of the vehicle, correct?

Pull the knuckle off, slip a piece of round stock through the balljoint yoke & measure the angle with an anglefinder. I'd set them at about 4 to 6 degrees. Yes, the top of the yoke will be tilted towards the rear of the rig. Make sure the rig is level when you are measuring or you will get an inaccurate number.

thats exactly what i had in mind, and i already have something made for that. did the scout suffer any significant damage saturday?

Nope, just sheetmetal damage.
