i have seen some of the comp guys run them but never in person. what i want to know is how loud are they? compared to a glass pack? they seem like the way to go on a trail rig that does not have much room for mufflers and what not.

I'v got a pair of the 5 inch stainless ones on my TJ (W/355 TPI and 3 inch exhaust on both sides). They are tuneable so you can run them as loud or as quiet as you want. I dont think they sound quite as good as flowmasters but as far as space goes they work great.

I'm running the large version (about 5" dia.) behind my 258. Sounds much better than the pos turbo I had on there. I just pulled one off my camaro to try it out. I will probably buy one of the smaller dia to run on it. They are not near as loud as a glass pack. They do get a little louder over time, but I think you can buy a fiberglass repacking kit for them. Take the baffle plates off the back and it sounds like a rice racer:rolleyes:

The Supertrapps are my favorite muffler for the 4 cylinder Toyotas. A bit pricey but I like the tone alot and being able to tune the noise factor. I usually run a 5" with an open tip. It should not be to loud with the open tip unless you don't have a catalitic converter on your truck then you can add an 18" glasspack where the stock muffler or cataylitic was.
