I'm in the process of installing suspension seats in my rig. They will be tied in to the cage structure, but they sit quite a bit higher than my old seats. The top of my head will be approximately two inches from the cage. Thats seems a little close to me. What is everyone else comfortable with...?

BTW, the rig does occaisionally see rollovers, but I'm always strapped in with 4 point harnesses.

Two inches at rest from the top of your melon the lowest point on the cage? Thats way too close. I have about 4 1/2 and I really wish I had more.

Consider how much your belts and body stretch and deform when gravity is pulling you 'up'

X2, I'd probably want at least six between my melon & the cage.
I'd also recommend at least a bike helmet.

Make a fist, and if you can't squeeze it between your dome and the top, it's no good.
