How can you tell the difference between a D44 and Crysler 8.25.
I'm going to look at the rear axle form a 91 XJ. All my searching says that it's an 8.25 but the seller says it's a D44.

This is a 44 cover. Definitely distinguishable differences between the 8.25 and 44. 8.25 is a rounded cover.
