Hey, TinBender mentioned a handy dandy home made tool that he called an Angle-O-Meter. Does anybody know where I can pick one up? Seems like a pretty handy little toy to have around the shop.

use two pieces of 1/2 - 3/4 in. flat bar stock with a nut and bolt w/lock washer (thats what I did)

Sounds like we are talking about two different parts. I'm referring to the guage with what looks to be a magnetic base.

The angle-o-meter is 2 pieces of flat stock and a bolt like xextr3m3 said.

If you're referring to the magnetic angle finder, you can get them for about $5 at harborfreight. I'm not sure where else but probably any place that is similar.

Home Cheapo also sells the magnetic angle finder..if you go there..get the larger one..the small one sux.

They also sell a plastic adjustable angle gauge like the "Angle-o-finder" that was mentioned.

Not to piggyback on someone elses thread, but where can I get a decent big protractor? I have only seen the small ones in HD and need a bigger one for finding angles on cages etc.

try staples or another office store, in the drafting section.

Get a combination square set with a protractor head & center finder.
Harbor Freight quality about $20-$30
Good quality (Starrett, etc.) about $150
