Two part question:

1) When did man-a-fre's website stop sucking?
Is this old news? It is a full on catalog, price sheet, etc. I called there for a buddy who is pricing out an OME kit, and they were cool, polite, helpful, reasonably priced, and generally everything that you would want form a mail order company? What gives?
I have heard some BAD stuff about them, but you will hear that about any vendor (except for Bobby Long and Marlin, so it seems), so i always take it with a grain of salt. Not trying to rehash the Man-a-fre bashing that I have seen here, but did they change owners or something? They have always been fair to me, not great, not bad, so I am just curious.

2) Cheapest place for a full on OME kit with pins, shackles, stab., etc.

Bout time they got with 1993 and made a real website....

the true test would be to go ahead and actually order something and see how many months it takes to show up at your door:rolleyes:

Ok, not that I have surfed around a bit on it, it is still not great, but better than it was last time I looked at it. Still no links to prices, the price list is outdated and takes forever to load.

Oh well..so close....

Hey Dan,
On a good note I've heard some recent good things about MAF lately. I ordered some poly bushings from them lately (which the order was correct with a good price and shipped on time), but I ordered a coil from them two/three years ago and they shipped me one that was $20 more expensive and charged me for it of course.

On an interesting note, there has been discussion about discussion of vendors and law suits, I am aware of only one. Here's a real interesting article about something that happened to a group of fish aquarium enthusiasts online, in a forum very similar to the LCML: http://www.salon.com/tech/feature/2002/04/04/aquatic_plants/print.html

I guess we have lost our free speech to an extent. I'd be interested to the hear the CCOT story (from the CCOT side, if possible, back channel, if anyone want to spell it out for me)....

I've only heard an admittedly biased side on the shop near me...

I just ordered some FJ60 lifted rear springs from MAF. They are on sale for about 175.00 I think. The springs were only about a week late. The rest of the order was prompt. The springs are good quality. I ran OME on my FJ62 for about 4 years and the springs, after broke in, rode excellent. I would get the MAF kit and save some coin.

If you order from MAF, you wan't to talk to a dude named Colin.

I second that. I've wheeled with him before, and he seems the only one there (at least back when I was buying from them) who knows what's up;)
