Don't know what I'm getting myself into.

Just closing a deal on a 79 Traveller. Told it has the 304 and the 727 tranny.

Body has been redone (fiberglass quarters). Looks good. Seems to run strong.

I know nothing of the Scout line....heck up until this one probably never even looked closely at one. Not that many around here.

Have a Jeep that started out replacing a car so I could access more areas for hiking, camping and mountain biking. Then the wheelin bug bit and I began to build up the Jeep. But enough of the Jeep.

Plan on using the Scout as a daily driver. Need room to haul the 3 Goldens around along with camping gear. Might even use it to haul/tow the Jeep around.

Spent the last week or so checking out various Scout sites and have come to the conclussion that the Scout Crowd is way more obssessive than the Jeep Bunch

So put up with and blast me for all the silly questions that I will ask in my understanding of Scouts.

Couple of sources for Scout sheet

Binder (http://www.binderbulletin.org)

Jim Weed (http://www.off-road.com/~jweed)

Search here, plenty of info, although we're not much into the resto movement on some of the other sites
