For sale is a Multiport fuel injection system from Affordable fuel injection. This system was on Jeeepster covered by Crawl Magazine. The system is 4 years old and has VERY little use on it. Im changing motors so I don’t need it anymore. This system has all the bells and whistles upgraded w/1000 cfm 4bbl Billet Aluminum Throttle Body. This system is complete and ready to go. This system cost $2345 new im looking to get $1300 for it OBO.

Chevrolet Multi Port Fuel Injection
Multi Port Fuel Injection is the most efficient type of fuel injection system. These systems incorporate a fuel injector at each cylinder directly above the intake valve. The Intake manifold is then a regulator of air allowed into the engine with the fuel control taking place by the ECM. This type of fuel injection unit allows for very flexible intake manifold designs compared to the TBI systems. Another big advantage to MPFI is engine efficiency. By incorporating an injector above each intake valve air/fuel distribution from one cylinder to the next is very consistent. With this consistency comes better performance, driveability and fuel economy.
The prices listed below are for stock engines only. If your engine has been modified from its original specifications, please contact us directly for a price quote.

Applications:
Our fuel injection systems are built to accommodate most vehicles with stock or slightly modified engines. Slightly modified meaning the addition of headers and possibly slightly over stock or RV camshafts. High performance applications require special calibration; please contact us for a quote on a custom system.
Performance and Fuel Economy:
One of the most frequently asked questions is "how much more performance and economy can I expect from my fuel injection system". Fuel injection alone does not necessarily add performance and/or fuel economy. Fuel injection does allow for optimum air/fuel control and ignition timing that in most cases increases fuel economy and performance. For the most part this optimization allows for 5-10% increase in power from the stock carbureted system. Fuel economy is a result of many factors, fuel control being only one of them. Frontal area of the vehicle, axle ratios, tire size, brake drag, vehicle weight and driving habits all take a major role in fuel economy. With the optimization of fuel control to your engine an increase in fuel economy in many cases is observed. Typically customers see between .5 to 4 MPG increase in fuel economy with their vehicles as reported to us.
Ignition requirements:
Fuel injection systems require a "clean" square wave for proper triggering to the ECM. For these reasons we require one of four different approaches for your ignition system needs.
1. GM fully electronic HEI, ECM controlled distributor. These distributors allow the ECM to fully control the spark to the engine as well as provide a clean signal for the ECM to use for its calculations. By using a GM fully electronic ignition your fuel injection system will control both the fuel and spark advance of your engine for optimum performance. This is a complete new distributor custom built for your AMC.
2. MSD or similar aftermarket ignition module. This type of ignition allows you to use your stock or aftermarket distributor to allow fuel injection applications to almost any vehicle. These units allow for fuel control only on your fuel injection system. We highly recommend using this type of system for your fuel injection application if you choose not to use a fully electronic GM distributor or the Tach Filter below.
3. Tach Filter, we have developed a filter to allow you to connect the ECM directly to the coil to provide the proper signal. This is the best alternative to any of the above options and will be included upon request. With this option your fuel injection system will provide a fuel control system only and will have no spark control functions. There is no cost for the tach filter when purchased with a system.
Fuel system requirements:
Your MPFI fuel injection system requires an electric fuel pump capable of 45 PSI and 200+ lbs./hr fuel flow. We include a frame or body mounted fuel pump with our systems that provide the proper flow and pressure requirements. You also need to have both a feed and return fuel line to your fuel tank. The installation of the fuel pump and associated lines are the hardest part of your fuel injection system installation. Some vehicles do not have provisions for fuel return to the fuel tank. This will require either the addition of a return line or an available return that will go into the filler neck hose of the fuel tank. Many people choose to custom build their fuel tanks or have an in tank fuel pump. We highly recommend this type of fuel system if it is within your budget. The external mounted fuel pump is very sufficient for your needs also and works very well. We do not include any fuel lines with your system, you will need to use your own rubber, steel or braided stainless line for your fuel system.
Wire Harness:
Your fuel injection system comes complete with a custom built wiring harness. The standard size wiring harness is 30" or 48" to the rear of block on your engine. We also have a 96" or custom length for additional $50. You For proper measurement you will need to decide where you will mount your ECM. (The ECM is 9"X6"x1.5") Typically these are mounted under the dash on the passengers' side or any other place you would like to install it. This harness requires a 1.5" hole to be routed. The ECM must be mounted in an area out of any elements and in an area that will allow it not to be bumped, stepped on, or any other non-standard environment such as under dash. Some people with street rods and custom built applications install these units in the trunk or under the back seat. We will need the measurements from your ECM installation point to the rear of block on the engine.
Not included in your kit:
(Many times all stock components work with modification.)
Ignition coil
Throttle cables
Throttle cable brackets
Transmission kick down cables or brackets
Air Cleaner
Fuel Line
