I'm real curious why you're not using it? Are you making your own adapter to replace the RingeR? Or are you just switching to a different drivetrain, say Toy motor or something. I'm contemplating buying a RIngeR, if I come to a final decision I'll look to you if you still have it. LAter.

The RingeR serves as an adaptor one, but it's also thick (1.5"??) so it is a Spacer as well, is this spacer necessary, use your imagination (or TIg welder) for this one: If the 1.6L bellhousing could mate directly to the Toy trans as if it were factory, would the whole clutch setup still work?? Basically I mean if the two were mated without the additional length provided by the RingeR. Or perhaps only a 1/2" between the two. I haven't gotten a close enough look at the clutch setups to figure this out yet.

No.

The length of the transmission input housing is different - the toy housing is longer.

That's why you need that adapter to act also as the spacer.

Don't think I'd bother with that Toyota Turbo motor.. It is still a pig of a motor. After all, what are the best numbers anyone has gotten out of that engine, and at what cost?

and as for the motor, it's a power deal, 38.5x14.5x15's with 4:10's and D60's and a toy tranny/case combo, unlike zuk's with a reduction in high range the toy has none, the 1.6l makes no power low enough to be useful trying to turn that heavy of a drivetrain, and besides i have 2 complete toy turbo motor's, both need 1 rod and a crank kit, that and i have a turbo fettish :D hell with the exception of my 4runner i'll have turbo's on everything :D

55 more hp than a 1.6l in stock form, and 77ft lbs tq more in stock form... enough said or shall i continue with a few under 5 buck mod's to pick up another 20-30hp?

I don't think you would have any trouble selling it. I might know someone that would be interested in it. Let us know if you do want to. I think it is a pretty neat setup.

I agree, that with the weight of the D60s, big tires, and full tube frame, you should probably look into a bigger engine.

By the way, I'm dropping in a Mitsubishi 2.0 turbo that makes that Toyota Turbo look like a joke. That was why I made the comment. Stock numbers are 195 hp, and 203 ft lbs, but for no money, I can make that 230 hp, and about 235 ft lbs... After that it starts getting spendy as you need more fuel in the engine. This mates up to the W56 trans via a custom bellhousing. Lots and lots of aftermarket for them too.
