powedrcouting, poweder coat, and POWDER COATING all COST about the same, but I'm not sure how much it wouldcaust

I looked into having my bumpers powder coated, and I told a local coater that they were approximately 50" long 2"x4" steel tubing that would arrive sand-blasted and only need a wipe-down, that particular coater said "bumpers are $250 each" I said "they're not even real bumpers, just lengths of rectangular tubing" he said "bumpers are $250"

Expensive and not really worth it in my book, I'd look at that POR stuff, or just keep spray bombing like I do.

Depends on who you go to. I went to a top quality place and it was $500. I think it was a total waist of $$$.

I'd look into doing it with Hammerite paint. Easy to apply and repairable if it gets damaged.

I just got about 1000' of 1.5 tubing done on 80 pieces for around $850.

Just depends where you go. My friend paid $100 for his M-715 frame. Shop around.

or you could just go to eastwood and get their home powdercoating kit.... 'course then you would need a very big oven :flipoff2:

One bad thing with powdercoating is you cant see any cracks you would get in the frame.I had my racecar frame done and it cracked and I didnt see it until it was too late...bad crash and throw away frame.I will never powdercoat anything again.

I saw plenty of cracks in my Jeep frame after doing it:flipoff2:
Hammerite or Hammertone whatever. That is the rout to go and is the rout I am going this time. Powder coating as great for ares that will get hit with break fluid because it wonut hurt it.

You will see it on a flat piece of plate or frame rail, you will not see it on any welds...if you got a quality powdercoat job.Check out most big dollar racecars(sprintcar are what I race and what I am referring to) they dont even paint the frames.
