I got some action shots of the notcher at the trade show this weekend. It is really cool how you can use the notcher to cut flat bar to make tabs.

Dustin,

The JMR Tube Notcher works perfectly with the extra long hole saws. If you need extra room for the saw you simple slide the bearing block back to allow more room. This will also work for some of the other notchers out there when using JMR hole saws.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks

The JMR TN1000 is the most versatile hole saw notcher on the market... PERIOD. Yeah some competitor companies want to question the shims JMR uses for offset notches. The simple fact is 99% of the notches you make will be on the center line. Anyone telling you differently has not been in the shop notching tube and actually building cars. The reason for the shims is simple... when the vise is bolted into position it cannot move thus producing accurate notches. Other notchers on the market with a bolt and slot system will move over time. I have used some of them over the years. It is a real PITA when you change the offset and have to return to CL. You have to measure and test notch to ensure you have the notcher on center. With the shim in place or removed you know where the notcher is going to cut. Over the years I have personally built so many cages and tube chassis that I cannot remember how many. I can honestly say I have had the need to offset notch just a few times.

The JMR Notcher can be removed from the stand or vise and used directly on the vehicle. Why would you want to use the notcher on the vehicle? Many times you will find yourself needing to drill through a tube to install a shock bung or seat belt bung. It is difficult to hold a specific angle with a hand drill while going through a tube. With the JMR TN1000 you can simply place a 3/4 hole saw on the shaft and drill through the tube at the rotation and angle you need. It takes the guess work out of drilling a hole through tube. Some of the over optioned bling bling notchers cannot get this done. Another reason for notching tube on a chassis or cage is reworking a project where you want to use existing tubes. It would be impossible to pick up your chassis and balance it in your notcher. Of course I have learned how to notch tube without a notcher but just because I know how does not mean I want to. The JMR TN1000 notcher was designed by a professional fabricator for professional fabricators who want a quality tool.

The JMR Notcher can radius flat bar to use for tabs on your cage or chassis. It can notch square tube. It can drill a round hole through square tube. You can notch square tube on the diamond. You can notch square tube on the diamond at an angle. The JMR Notcher can notch tube in a bend. It slices, it dices, and it was designed by a professional fabricator building world class desert racing trucks, not some cubical jokey.

Unlike some of the notchers that claim to dominate the hole saw notcher market the JMR Notcher is the ONLY hole saw notcher that can INSTANTLY GO TO CENTER LINE after an offset notch and stay there until you change it. 99.99% of all notches when fabricating a cage, buggy, race truck, or bar stool are center line notches. The JMR Notcher offers the ability to offset and go back to center line without the need to test cut notches and spend time looking for center. The shims used in the JMR notcher to offset notch were the result of real fabricators notching tube and looking for the best solution to the problem. The others that offer the ability to adjust offset by sliding up and down and re-tightening bolts never go back to the exact same place every time nor do they instantly go back to center line. Have questions be sure to ask.

What are you buying when you buy a tool? You are buying the "Result" the tool offers. Features and Benfits are things to point out but in the end it all comes down to Results. If you are interested in learning more about what type of results JMR tools can offer your shop feel free to call us anytime. JMR is in the results business by building quality American Made tools.

Thanks for the interest in JMR fabrication tools. I think you will be VERY pleased. JMR is the ONLY notcher that goes instantly back to center line after a offset notch and stays there until you change it. Unlike the others notchers that get out of adjustment over time. The JMR Notcher is also the only one that has a movable vise. What does this do for you? It allows you to notch VERY short pieces of tube. Unlike the new comer to the hole saw notcher market their over complicated vise does not move, and it only clamps the tube in a very narrow area. I will be posting up some pics a little later today showing how the JMR notcher can notch short pieces of tube.

If you have fabrication questions be sure to ask. I have personally notched truck loads of tube over the years. I think I can answer just about any question you may have.

I posted some pics of notching short pieces of tube this morning. Unlike the new kid on the block the JMR notcher has a movable vise to allow for notching short pieces of tube.

We do have a tool that you can make that will allow you to notch even shorter. If interested post up and I will show you an example.

Check out the pics of the slots that allow the bearing block and vise to adjust on the JMR TN1000 notcher. The other hole saw notchers out there are not this adjustable.

Drilling through tube on your vehicle. There are claims that a "v-block" style vise is limited and somehow sub par to the new radial vise. The radial vise can not do this on a vehicle. Meaning is you have tubes welding place on your vehicle you CAN use the JMR notcher to drill for shock bungs, ait bump cans, seat belt bungs, notch in place on the vehicle, and more.

The pictures in the below samples where scraps to show you the idea. If you want to read more about this click the following link:

i looked on your website for the deep hole saws that were mentioned in this thread and there is a link them, but they dont show up. are they still available? What sizes are available and can i get a price on them shipped to 60099? Thanks

EDIT: Did some google searching, which lead me back to pirate to a thread you had up for the hole saws themselves, but its from 2/25/10.

Link (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=867001)

Are these prices still valid? Thanks
