You have to see it from the front to really appreciate it.
It has an SSII grille.

Exactly what part of that is a scout? If it's just the grill then it's not a scout.

Oh it definately counts. Heres a full frontal
http://home.earthlink.net/~mikiteb/cain1.jpg
Its got more Scout in it than my rig does. He runs a 345 T19 Dana 300, also has most of the Scout frame, and most of the hood too. Very cool rig.

I need to dig up my pictures from NWBRU '97 and post the pic I took of that Scout then.
It had a shiny black paint job (I think it was black), probably 35s with a rear tire carrier, full top, and looked pretty sharp, IMO..

How about a month ago. It looked like this

It is unusual that going to a tube body makes a rig look better, but in this case...

IMO it looks better from the back. The frontal shot makes it look funky. Do you have any closer pics?

I would really like to contact the owner
of this tube scout. This is about what I want
to do to mine only have fiberglass bodyparts
dzues fastened so if I need to I can remove
them for tight situations but otherwise have
a really light scout. In other words...lol..
a real sleeper. It looks like he has d60 on
the front? Is this a full width as well as the rear? It also looks like he has a transverse rear spring suspension much like
the real horse buggys and old corvettes.
thanks

Quoted from another board.
345/t-19/d300
60 front 4.56 detroit
14 bolt rear 4.56 detroit
Holley pro-jection
38 tsl's on 36 bolt MRT beadlocks 15x10
The rear susp. is called 1/4 eliptic. A lot of the rigs in their club run it. They are the ones who did Lance's Cruzah.

Ben, what would you rate the pucker factor on that 'whoops'. Looks like a blast if I ever make it up to Wash, I have to check out the crack.

I'd say low pucker factor actually. If you have a spotter, the crack is pretty easy. I was going up with no spotter and was a little to far to the right. The rear slid into the crack and I fell over. There are lots of lines with a much higher pucker factor in the immediate area.
