I apologize in advance for the level of difficulty of this question.

I've been searching for a while, and I can't find what size socket I'll need to remove the pinion nut for a 93-97 Isuzu Rodeo / Honda Passport Dana 44 rearend.

I'm planning to make a trip to the junkyard (several hours away...) and would like to know what tools to grab.

I appreciate any help you fellas might be able to give!

There were some housings in the junkyard with a much larger nut than 1-1/8. They were bigger than 32mm. Anyone know the size.

Some searching indicates that the newer pinions may have more 26 splines? Help an isuzu tard out.

I'm not sure. I started tearing into a 98-and-up Passport, and it was a 33mm, I belive. 1 5/16" if I remember correctly. I never got that socket because I ran out of time, but I tried a 30, 32, 34 and 36. Go figure I needed the one in the middle...

I'm told the 26-spliner D44s are 93-97 Passports, Amigos, and Rodeos. I can't verify that information, though.
