Can someone describe to me what the bolt pattern on a power braked scout looks like where the booster bracket meets the firewall? thanks

It's a rectangular pattern. I'm told all SIIs have the blind-nuts on the firewall, they just need the holes drilled out towards the engine. I haven't made any progress on restoring my '72 so I haven't tested this yet. ;-)
I have a F*rd booster and bracket on my race Scout with a Scout m/c. I had to redrill the Ford mounting bracket to bolt up to the SII firewall, but no problems other n' that.

My 79 Scout's power brake booster BRACKET bolt pattern is about 3 1/2" wide by 1 3/4" tall were the bracket bolts to the fire wall. The bracket goes from the fire wall to the power brake booster it is about 3 7/8" from the fire wall to the booster. Their is a bell crank sort of thing in the bracket.Their is also a dust cover on the rod that goes in to the power brake booster. Were the bracket bolts to the booster the bolt pattern is about 3 3/4" wideby 3 1/2" tall.
Hope this is a help to you.

My manual master cyl has 2 studs coming out of the firewall while my GM power booster has 6 studholes... I was wondering if the number of holes mattered while mounting. I was suprized about there only being 2 holding the manual to the firewall in my scout because of all the direct pressure thats applied. While the power one had 6 ther not having to be as much pedal pressure.

I think with the manual m/c, you have just a straight-line direct pressure.
With the booster, there are more forces at work as it goes through the "relay" or "bell-crank" assembly, thus more bolts - plus the booster + m/c is a lot heavier than just the m/c!
