I'm lookin for parts to swap into a Jeep. I know a lot of scouts have D44's but what tranny's and t-cases did the later models come with?

There are no parts on a Scout worth swapping onto a Heep. Nothing from a Scout will fit and none of the parts are Heep compatable. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Actually, the trannys and t-cases are pretty much the same as the parts from Heeps, T-18's, Dana 20', Dana 300's and TF727's (just different versions). The T-19 was never offered in a Heep, but it won't bolt in anyway. Really, the only usable parts would be the transfer cases, but why not just stick with Heep parts?

Actually, many of the Scout trannies have a very desirable granny first, but the stick out on the input shaft is a good six inches longer than a Ford or Heep T18 tranny. Not good for drive line angles. I suspect when and if I part the project I will sell a good portion of the hard parts to Heep owners. Today I will be picking up a Ford T18 for main shaft and case swap, turning the tranny into a very desirable Heep tranny that bolts to a D20 with granny first.
