hey everybody

Ive got a 92 Yj with a TBI 350, painless wiring harness, etc. Over the summer I had quite a few issues caused from wiring but eventually got it all straight. last winter it would put out enough heat to even on the coldest winter days after getting warm i was nice and cozy with a soft top.

this winter, ive had absolutely nothing. even when i just select vent im not getting warm air...just air coming through.

any ideas. could this be related to the wiring i was messing with over the summer or should i be looking else where

Is it actually blowing/ blower motor engaging? If you switch it from defrost to your feet, can you tell a difference?

ive tried every setting there is with no difference in getting more heat. i can reach under the dash, and feel the air hitting my hand, but its not warm.

im not really sure if the blower motor is engaging. it does feel like there is no difference between heat, and vent

Is you engine getting warm as in not a stuck thermostat?
Can you hear any vaccum leaks from the cab with the heater off and the car running?
Is the hot to cold cable broke?

I don't know shit about jeeps, but those are pretty common.

Check both hoses going to heater core, with engine at operating temperature;
are both hoses hot? if so, under the dash, follow cable fron the head unit to
the heater box. with your head under dash, operate hot/cold lever, watch for
motion near heater box.

if both hoses are not hot, look for a valve in one of the heater hoses..

My guess would be that the cable has come off or loose at box end.

If one hose is warmer than the other you have a clogged heater core. Unhook both hoses and flush it out with the garden hose both ways.

I do remember seeing that my temp guage wasn't coming up to normal while driving it. I just chalked it up to a faulty guage. ill have to check into the t-stat.

thanks
