Can a twin-stick Model 18 be modified for selective front only, rear only, or F&R operation?
Does the twin stick in it's stock configuration give you a 2-Lo option?
Am I in the right place?:D

You're in the right place, but the model 18s shifters control high low neutral and 2wd 4wd. There is no way to do independant F/R operation with an 18. The twin stick in its stock configuration will not give you a 2wd low, however you remove a shift poppet and it will. Overall an easy job although you might as well rebuild it while you're in there, cause you're taking it all apart to do it.

I've purchased a seal/gasket kit, but haven't found the actual t-case yet LOL. I'm considering buying the one pictured below. I just hope it's a picture of the actual t-case he has for sale :D

Im not sure about the 18 sticks on an 18 but if you put the front on a dana 20 with some other mods you most certainly can independant control of F & R. So much control in fact that if you have the shifters in the wrong place the t-case goes boom. I though on the 18 you could remove an interlock and have the same deal

To remove the poppet you only need to remove the front cover where the levers are and it's in a hole between the two shift rods. This will give you 2 low. I don't know of a way to get front drive only.

Now if you just went with a 300 then you could have it all! but you would have to get rid of the sami axle. he he

Well since the 18 feeds both the front and rear output through the intermediate shaft I have no idea how you'd ever seperate the two ;)
