I'm looking to regear my truck since it lacks the power and mileage I'd like... I have a question for any ford gurus out there, As of right now, I my truck is bone stock, with 31's and 3.31 gearing- have to romp on the gas to get moving/sucks to wheel with, I was wondering how much of a difference will bumping up to 3.73 - 4.11 gearing make? Would it be worth the investment? This truck is my DD and my weekend warrior. Any input or a point the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the longish read

What year is truck?
What motor?

ok, you need to list year, make, model, engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, and anything you've added to the truck, or the truck has. here, this might help http://www.pitbulltires.com/calculate.php

Gah, I have it in my sig.

The truck is a 95 F150 stock everything minus a cap(not sure on it's weight) I know the GVWR is around 6750 or so the door jam says
302 V-8
E40D
not sure on the transfer case
Has a D44 up front and a 8.8 out back

Your transfer case is a Borg Warner 1356. It has 2.62:1 low range and a 1:1 high range. Using the calc I linked, you would be running 2009 rpm at 70 mph in OD, which is .71:1 in 2-hi, which is about perfect. Your trans ratios are as follows First 2.71 Second 1.54 Third 1.00 OD 0.71
