My headlights suck and will upgrade those to the new style but want brighter fogs also.
Anybody put after markets fog lights on the OEM wiring?
Also, anybody running LED tailight upgrades? How do these compare to the newer upgraded OEM tail lights?

What year F250 might help.

Well you could do a 08 clip on your truck. Their lights seem to be better then 05 to 07 models. The Fogs on the 08+ are very bright too. I've always noticed ford's headlights are subpar when you look at other large trucks out there.
I'd look at the Recon's for the rear. They are super nice, two buddies have them but I can't pony up the cash for them when my stockers are just fine.

I replaced mine with PIAAs and haven't been sorry. FWIW... that front clip will cost you around $1000 when all said & done.

That seems very reasonable for the improved look. Not to mention everyone thinks your rocking a new truck and you saved about 45 grand.

Swapping a 08-10 front clip on a 99-07 truck is more than a simple bolt on affair and I have to assume that the $1000 figure is for putting a 05-07 front bumper/grille/lights on a 99-04 truck.

No interest in doing the conversion, I like the looks of my truck just fine and don't give two flying fucks about keeping up with the Jones.
I just want to be able to see with my lights and be seen so I don't get hit.

I upgraded the harness on my 2001 Excursion and went to Sylvania Silverstar headlights and foglights. Both are worthwhile.

I was told you can put one of the late model chevy hi-beam bulbs in the factory SD fog bodies and they are a lot brighter. I havn't tried yet, as I mounted SD fog lights in my lower bumper of my F-150. Soon as they burn out I'll try it.

89breaker,
I had the same problem with my 01 F250. It had the sealed beam head lights, which suck, so I ordered a set of replacement 'bulb style' from Anzo. I now wonder WHY I waited so long to make the change. I also added a set of PIAA bulbs at the same time. Go ahead and make the change, you will be VERY happy with the results.

Update: I swapped in 9005s into my foglights and that helped a lot.
Next up is going to the 04-07 headlight upgrade.
