89 k5 blazer on 38 in tsls. cut and turned dodge d60 and a cut and turned 14b ff 4.10s. calipers and rotors on 14b from a 1973 d44. new master and front calipers (reman).

my problem is the pedal goes to the floor with little resistance but still stops by the time its almost on the floor. still rust on the driver rear rotor.

any idea on the problem?

Not to sound dumb, but have you bled it at the master and the calipers?

You bled the MC out first, right?

What master are you running?

for best results run a master from a 1999 or 2000 G3500 series chevy van it has the proper primary and secondary piston/valving in it to support 4 wheel disc

what ever :shaking:

they work just fine with the stock masters.

you either have air in the system or the master is blown out.

check the booster to see if its got a bunch of fluid in it by sticking something down the vac hole. also unbolt the master at the booster and see if its wet.

edit, how do you cut and turn a 14bff?

Also sounds like the left rear caliper is seized.

your braking system is not building up pressure.

either due to contaiminants inside braking system (air, as this "fluid" will compress)

or the is fluid taking the path of least resistance (a leak somewheres)

if your having trouble bleeding the braking systems some common problems are: plugged bleeder screw, calipers installed on wrong sides (bleeder screws needs to face to the top, to let all the air out and fluid in, and also sometimes the Master cylender will be leaking. if you ran out of fluid in mc, then you may have to bleed it seperatly as well.
